How to Convert a Fraction to a Decimal

Divide the top number by the bottom number. If the fraction in lowest terms has a denominator whose only prime factors are 2 and 5, the decimal ends; otherwise it repeats forever.

a/b = a ÷ b   percent = a ÷ b × 100
