How 401(k) Growth Is Projected
Each month: balance × (1 + monthly return) + (your contribution + match) ÷ 12
Match = min(your contribution, pay × match limit %) × match %
A "50% match up to 6%" means the employer adds $0.50 for each $1 you put in, on the first 6% of pay.

Tips
Figures are in future dollars; divide by (1 + inflation)^years for today’s money. Returns aren’t guaranteed. Vesting schedules can mean you don’t keep the match if you leave early. The 2026 limits used here ($24,500, catch-up extra for 50+) should be checked each year. Merged: the employer match check covers the 401(k) Employer Match calculator.
