How to Estimate Warehouse Pallet Capacity

Positions = building area × usable % × (1 − aisle %) ÷ pallet footprint × levels

The footprint includes clearance around each pallet (rack uprights, flue space). Selective racking needs wide forklift aisles; narrow-aisle or drive-in racking raises density.
