Constant-Acceleration Equations
v = u + at s = ut + ½at² s = (u + v) ÷ 2 × t v² = u² + 2as
u is initial velocity, v final velocity, a acceleration, t time and s displacement. Negative acceleration means slowing down (in the direction of motion).

Tips
These only hold when acceleration is constant. Free fall near Earth’s surface is a = 9.80665 m/s² downward (ignoring air resistance).
